Dock Rmah is a member of the minority Jarai people of Vietnam. He came to the United States in the early 1980’s and resides in Greensboro, N.C. Besides singing the Jarai songs, he plays various bamboo instruments including goong (tube zither), t’rung (xylophone), and m’buat (mouth organ). Mr. Rmah is the best-known musician among the minorities from Vietnam and was honored by North Carolina’s Arts Council with a Heritage Award in 1995.
